In the images with the cross-distance functions, the dashed line represents the function for the shouted vowel.
In the images with the vocal tract contours, the gray lines represent the contours of the shouted vowels.
Note that the contours of the spoken and shouted vowels do sometimes not align well, because the subjects moved their head a little bit for shouting.
In the images, SAMPA labels (for German) were used to indicate the speech sound.
